The first post

So yeah....I am in Ghana. It is our third day here....starting to feel like I can handle the next 16 weeks here. We'll see, though. We haven't started classes yet or anything so it is difficult to set a routine. We've had a lot of free time so far which is good but we also don't know the area or what there is to do so it is frustrating to have free time that we don't know what to do with. On Sunday we are going to go up the mountain to Akropong to the Akrofi Christaller Center for a few days. After that classes officially start on Wednesday. I will be excited to kind of have a routine down and a schedule to not stick to. I don't think that the culture shock has fully hit me yet. I miss a lot of people right now, but I am excited to be in this place. It is different and overwhelming at times but it has been good. I hope to post pictures soon, but since I haven't really taken any, there aren't any to post...... ;)
